Ann has challenged us once again!

I have broken my verse, Psalm 139, into fours….
so here was last weeks memorized work:
1-6
Oh Lord, you have searched me and known me,
You know when I lie down and when I rise up,
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
you are acquainted with all my ways.
There is not a word on my tongue,
But you, O lord, know it already.
You have hedged me in behind and before,
You have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is to wonderful for me,
Oh Lord, it is so high I cannot attain it.
(New King James Version)
As I went jog-walking last night with my children, they had already blithely slipped past me…I started reciting this verse in my head…and the Lord started speaking it back to me…it was one of those moments where I felt Him near and I wept.
To think, again, He “knows” me…all of me…He knows every atom, every molecule, every thought, every struggle, every joy, every pain and then on top of that He said He understands my thoughts afar off….He understands…HE…understands…
dwell on the beauty of Him… Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, knows and understands….with compassion, with love….
sigh, double sigh…such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it.

How lovely and inspiring – it is soooo wonderful to know that He cares soooo much for us – every single part of us no matter how small and how wonderful and humbling that He takes the time to let us know it!

This is such a beautiful Psalm, and the wording of the KJV is rich.
How wonderful that the Word is speaking to you in the everyday moments!
We memorized the NIV of Psalm 139 as part of last years memory work in our home school. It has been a treasure to carry in our hearts!
Blessings to you as you continue the journey.
